CONTEXT
Wool Cultures explored a new and easy-to-use method to clean wool with micro-organisms. This method requires less water, no electricity and no chemicals. In doing so, the project also explored a post-anthropocentric relationship with the micro-organisms. To achieve this, a DIY bioreactor was built and used extensively to grow and measure the micro-organisms.

Scaling up the production process - B&E
Next to building the bioreactor, I also imagined together with a landscaping artist how the cleaning process of wool using micro-organisms could be scaled-up. This was done through the lens of care and in the landscape of the Hemelrijkse Waard.
